PARSIPPANY, NJ – January 2, 2008. CherryRoad Group Inc., a full-service systems integrator, has announced that its government division, CherryRoad GT Inc., was awarded a subcontract by Northrop Grumman Corporation to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services to support the Defense Knowledge Online (DKO) program.
DKO is a Department of Defense (DoD) program, managed by the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) of the U.S. Army. Upon completion, DKO will include knowledge, collaboration, and messaging services for the DoD, military and, potentially, all Federal government agencies, thereby creating the largest system of its kind.
Under the terms of the award, CherryRoad GT will perform complete O&M services including: portal maintenance; systems engineering and administration; three-tiered service desk; network engineering and administration; information assurance; certification and accreditation; network monitoring; and application support. The company will also support Northrop Grumman, by providing asset, change, and requirements management, customer outreach, and user training services. The comprehensive O&M solution employed by CherryRoad GT for DKO includes industry-leading, COTS and open source management tools from a variety of manufacturers.
From 1998 to 2007, CherryRoad GT served as prime contractor for the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) program, a best-of-breed portal chosen by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as a model for DKO. In 2002, CherryRoad GT collaborated with Northrop Grumman for AKO disaster recovery architecture and support services. CherryRoad GT has also teamed with Appian for DKO portal and BPM software integration and
