CherryRoad GT combines our systems engineering and functional expertise to provide support services for automated logistics systems. Our offerings in this area span:
For example, the U.S. Army relies on CherryRoad for our logistics expertise.
In the dynamic environment of force projection operations, it’s critical that the U.S. Army provide warfighters with real-time information and a logistics common operational picture of assets across the area of operations. CherryRoad GT is supporting the Army’s program management team in its oversight of the development and deployment of The Battle Command Sustainment Support System (BCS3) to do just that. Specifically, the Windows-based, platform-independent system displays near real-time, continuous graphical representations upon a topographic map background of friendly and enemy locations, logistic overlays, supply status, combat power, and more. It also provides graphical displays of combat power changes based on incoming materiel as well as vehicle and cargo movements down to satellite-level, map-centric detail. And, the system’s analytical and decision-support tools enable commanders to make decisions faster and more effectively.
CherryRoad GT is providing a wide variety of services to support this complex, enterprise-wide logistics system. For example, in addition to senior subject matter expertise in the functional and technical areas, we’re providing program management, network operations, and software engineering and testing support services. CherryRoad GT is also supporting the Army’s PMO to ensure accurate, timely logistical data is available for use by the warfighter via BCS3.
Our logistics expertise is also evident in our support of the PLM+ program. The U.S Army’s mission for the PLM+ program is to deliver a logistics collaborative information environment to the warfighter. This entails the seamless integration of the Single Army Logistics Enterprise (SALE) with various SAP technologies, including Product Lifecycle Management software, Solution Manager, and the NetWeaver integration platform. Additionally, the NetWeaver stack will include the Enterprise Portal, Master Data Management, Exchange Infrastructure, and Business Information Warehouse.
To achieve its mission, the PLM+ will implement the NetWeaver integration hub to connect the national- and tactical-level logistics systems, provide a single point of entry for external systems outside the SALE (such as BCS3), and enable the sharing of common master data across the system. Finally, they must achieve seamless integration and interoperability of systems inside and outside the SALE.
Serving as the primary technical interface between the client and the systems integrator, CherryRoad GT is assisting the PLM+ program office with the synchronization, monitoring, and oversight of the complex SALE integration. For example, we’re providing acquisition program management support, including cost estimation, budget preparation, and market analysis. We’re also responsible for developing critical documents, such as the Statement of Work, Concept of Operations, and briefings to senior leaders. Additionally, we’ll provide senior systems engineering support for the source selection process and ultimately will provide technical integration management. In short, CherryRoad GT is supporting, and will continue to support, the PLM+ program office throughout all phases of the standard SAP implementation methodology. These include project preparation, end-to-end blueprinting, realization, final preparation (including oversight of operational testing), and go-live support.
