Project Summary - U.S. Army Program Manager for Elimination of Chemical Weapons
We provide knowledge management services to The U.S. Army Program Manager for Elimination of Chemical Weapons (PM ECW). This client manages the demilitarization and disposal of the U.S. stockpile of lethal and incapacitating chemical warfare agents and munitions. PM ECW also manages the destruction of non-stockpile chemical warfare and related materials. CRGT has supported PM ECW in its mission since 1998, providing a variety of program management, knowledge management, information systems, configuration management, help desk, network management, and network security services. Over the years, we’ve forged a strategic partnership with this program’s senior government executives and in-house IT professionals, who rely on us to define, design, and deploy strategic solutions to effectively address complex IT infrastructure, network, and help desk issues. In the area of knowledge management, we’ve:
- Implemented PM ECW’s robust content management system, known as the Document Control System (DCS). This customized document management system archives all programmatic and technical documents as well as document-based deliverables for other contracts. It also directly supports the PM ECW’s guidelines to follow the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 by disseminating documents electronically. CherryRoad GT developed the DCS – which we continue to support – using a suite of applications offered by our business partner, FileNET. In fact, our relationship with FileNet and our expertise with their products have proved invaluable to PM ECW.
- Implemented Rendition Services, automating the conversion of native language documents into the industry standard of PDF – providing all potential users with one standard format for simple document viewing.
- Recommended a unique approach for empowering end-users to populate Web site content. To facilitate this, CherryRoad GT implemented and customized FileNet’s eProcess application, which automates and streamlines the creation, routing, approval, and publishing of content to the document management system as well as various Web resources. To meet the client’s specific needs and maximize performance of this system, we also analyzed and then optimized their workflow processes.
